Our Core Values

Intentionality

We don’t do "winging it." We believe a boat is only as good as the plan behind it. For us, being intentional means every wire, breaker, and screen is placed for a reason. We provide our team with a clear roadmap and our customers with a system that makes sense, so nothing is left to chance.

Transparency

The best way to avoid frustration is to be honest from the start. Whether it’s a detailed estimate, a clear company policy, or being upfront about our own limitations, we keep everything on the table. We provide the facts so you can make an informed decision—ensuring there are no hidden surprises, just clear expectations.

The Extra 5%

A system that "just works" isn’t good enough—it has to be built to last. We believe the last 5% of a job is what separates a professional install from a hack job. Whether it’s labeled harnesses, clean cable runs, or a tidy bilge, we obsess over the details most people never see. We give our team a standard they can be proud of and our customers a system that looks as good as it performs.

The Handover

The sea doesn’t stand still, and neither do we. We are obsessed with staying ahead of the curve, constantly leveling up our team’s skills so they can master the latest in marine tech. But we don’t keep that knowledge to ourselves. When a project is done, we sit down with you for a real-world handover—taking the mystery out of your systems so you can leave the dock with total confidence.

Established Through Boston Harbor Experience and Marine Craftsmanship

Our foundation is simple: we're marine specialists who understand the electrical and electronic systems that power your time on the water. With decades of hands-on experience in Boston Harbor marinas and private docks, we've seen firsthand how proper installations and smart system design make the difference between frustration and confidence.

Boston's marine environment is unforgiving—salt air, temperature swings, and constant motion demand wiring and electronics that can handle it all. Whether you're navigating fog-covered harbor channels or cruising the islands on a summer afternoon, your onboard systems need to perform without hesitation.

We're proud to support the boating community across Boston, MA and surrounding areas, helping vessel owners maintain safe, reliable, and modern electrical systems that enhance every voyage.

Meet Our Marine

Electrical & Electronics Specialists

Mike Parrish

Founder and Systems Lead

Mike doesn’t just install marine electronics; he understands the high stakes of the environment they operate in. With over 20 years of experience in the marine industry, Mike’s career began as a tour boat deckhand. He worked his way up the ranks to Captain, eventually commanding vessels up to 200 feet throughout the Northeast.

It was from the bridge that Mike’s unique perspective on vessel systems was born. What started as helping coworkers and family with electrical repairs on the side, quickly grew into a full-time career as a lead technician at major New England dealerships and marinas.

Mike founded M.P. Marine to fill that a hole in the market—creating a service-first company dedicated to quality, transparency, and the "Extra 5%." Whether it’s a complex NMEA 2000 integration or a high-capacity lithium battery bank, Mike ensures every system is built to a Captain’s standard: organized, intentional, and fail-safe.

Technical Expertise & Credentials:

Certifications: ABYC & NMEA Certified.

Specializations: Lithium Battery Systems & Advanced Glass Bridge Integration.

Factory Training: Victron Energy, Mastervolt, Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad, B&G, CZone, and EmpirBus.

“My goal is to replace the chaos of a 'mystery' electrical panel with a clear, intentional roadmap. When we finish a job, I want the owner to leave the dock with total confidence in their boat's DNA."

Mike Carroll

Apprentice Technician

Mike joined M.P. Marine with a clear mission: to build technical mastery through discipline and accountability. While many enter the marine industry with "years of experience" that may include bad habits, Mike chose a different path—one rooted in formal training and a relentless attention to detail.

A graduate of the Yamaha Outboard Certification program at Cape Cod Community College and OSHA 10 certified, Mike brings a decade of experience from high-pressure environments, including film sets and union labor productions. In those worlds, there are no shortcuts, and "close enough" isn't an option. Mike has translated that professional rigor to the marine sector, where he specializes in following the precise, intentional roadmaps that M.P. Marine is known for.

Mike was drawn to M.P. Marine because of our commitment to The Extra 5% and a clearly designed path for growth in his career here. Currently working toward his ABYC certification, he embodies our core value of Transparency—possessing the self-awareness to ask the right questions before a task becomes a problem. He is the hands-on proof of our belief that expertise is earned through humility, hard work, and a refusal to cut corners.

Technical Expertise & Credentials:

Certifications: Yamaha Outboard Certified (CCCC), OSHA 10.

In-Progress: ABYC Systems Certification.
